Hello, my name is Cris Gomes, I was born in Brazil and since I was little I love to draw. My first contact with illustration was through children's books, I spent hours devouring books and comics. Also, of course, cartoons were also part of my routine.
I graduated in advertising and worked with art direction, but soon migrated to editorial illustration in daily newspapers. It was a good time where I was able to learn a lot from more experienced colleagues.
Currently I have been dedicating myself to children's illustration, illustration for textbooks and also to concept art for animation, with a focus on creating characters and scenarios.
I have already attended prestigious publishers and clients such as: Grupo SM, Editora FDT, Editora Acácias, Jornal do Brasil, Correio Braziliense, Jornal de Brasília, Metrópoles, Sesi, Sebrae, Ministry of Justice, CDT/UnB, ENAP, World Bank, Sescoop, among others.
In parallel with my commissioned works, I always reserve time to dedicate myself to my authorial work, which you can also follow on my instagram.
